Young Musicians Competition
Franklin Symphonic Council (FSC) sponsors music education scholarships for local intermediate and middle school students who compete for monetary awards in the areas of Vocal, Woodwind, Piano, Strings, Brass, Percussion and Ensemble. The 1st Place winners are invited to perform at FSC's spring membership luncheon.

Discovery Concert
FSC provides funding to send fifth graders in Franklin and surrounding Johnson County schools to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra's Discovery Concert.
Community Concerts
Please join us for the final concert of our 2022 Summer Concert Series featuring the incredible Indiana Wind Symphony! The weather forecast for Wednesday evening is not favorable, so we will be moving our concert to Grace United Methodist Church located at 1300 E Adams Dr, Franklin, IN. Holiday Lighting EventsThe Franklin Symphonic Council will have a tree decorated at the Holiday Lighting Celebration which will be on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. around the Franklin County Courthouse.
The Franklin Symphonic Council will host a decorated tree at the Dec A Tree Celebration; The viewing for the public will take place at the Johnson County Museum 2nd floor starting December 1 and run through December 30. Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra
FSC continues to support the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra with an annual donation and ushers for the Discovery Concert.
Instrument Refurbishment
FSC accepts used band instruments, pays for necessary repairs and donates them to Johnson County music students who wish to participate in the school band but are unable to purchase their own instruments. The instrument drive happens bi-annually in odd years. If you have questions, or an instrument to donate, please contact us at fscindiana@gmail.com.
